Anzac Day Dawn Service to be held in Halls Gap | The Ararat Advertiser

Halls Gap’s Anzac Day Dawn Service will return in 2021 after being cancelled due to COVID-19 in 2020. Gatherings of about 60-100 people are common at the service. It is held at Halls Gap’s Memorial Gates and is a community-run event affiliated with the RSL or any other groups. OTHER SERVICES: The Shrine of Remembrance servie will be broadcasted on the radio while people gather to pay their respects and lay flowers or wreaths. Families from the Halls Gap Honour Roll have traditionally donated money for three wreaths laid at the service. With the service being cancelled due to COVID-19 in 2020, the funds usually used for the wreaths (about $150) were instead given to…
