AN Ararat man was remanded into custody to face the Ararat Magistrates’ Court this month following a late-night arrest on Friday. Stawell police officers intercepted the man as he was driving on Patrick Street at 1.20am. Acting Senior Sergeant Eddie Malpas said officers allegedly uncovered drugs, believed to be methamphetamine, as well as a significant amount of cash in the vehicle. “This is excellent, proactive work by our members at Stawell,” he said. “And should serve as another reminder to people – if you want to take the risk of driving around with illegal substances in your car, expect to be caught and charged by our members.” READ MORE: The accused was arrested and charged with…
