There’s been a fresh twist in the investigation into missing Melbourne woman Maryam Hamka.
The 36-year-old hasn’t been seen since April 10 when she visited her local Woolworths in Brunswick.
As Victoria Police continue to probe her disappearance, her on-again, off-again boyfriend Toby Loughnane has been charged.
He was charged with allegedly assaulting her in December last year.
Police raided his $1 million Brighton property on Sunday and spent much of the day questioning him over Hamka’s disappearance.
Loughnane will remain in police custody until his next court appearance in a fortnight’s time.
Where Hamka is remains unknown.
