Violent alleged carjacking attempt at Cranbourne shopping centre results in arrests of three 15-year-old girls

Three 15-year-old girls have been arrested following a violent alleged attempted carjacking, in which a woman was bitten and threatened with a screwdriver.

The altercation took place at a shopping centre on High Street in Cranbourne, in Melbourne’s south-east, on Sunday afternoon.

It will be alleged a 48-year-old woman from Clyde North was approached by the girls, who attempted to steal her keys.

During an affray, the woman was allegedly bitten and threatened with a screwdriver before the trio fled.

They were arrested shortly thereafter and have since been charged.

Two of the girls were on bail at the time of the alleged offence.
